3rd and 4th October 2017, Wassenaar, Netherlands. Test pedelecs for their everyday usability. Take part – learn all about them – and take them on test rides. ExtraEnergy and the ANWB warmly invite you to participate.
On the 3rd and 4th October 2017, ExtraEnergy will be running its Ergonomics Test as part of a new partnership with the Royal Dutch Touring Club (ANWB). The Ergonomics Test will take place in the Netherlands. With 4.4 million members, the ANWB is the largest club in the Netherlands. The location for the Ergonomics Test is Wassenaar. Ergonomics Test – a tough test for everyday usability Since 1992, ExtraEnergy has tested pedelecs and e-bikes as an independent organisation. Its riding tests involve instrumented test rides on test circuits for ‘everyday and ‘touring’, with an additional test for off-road pedelecs. The Ergonomics Test then tests the pedelecs for their general practicality. How easy they are to manhandle, how intuitive to understand, and how well they test-ride are all evaluated by as many testers as possible, using a variety of questionnaires. The Ergonomics Test includes tasks such as lifting over steps and up stairs, battery changing, tests for general ease of use and intuitive operation, and brief riding tests. Ride quality both with and without motor assist is evaluated, as well as design and safety aspects. View this gallery for an impression of the Test: The results of the Test are captured via online questionnaires and then feed in as qualitative data which contributes to the final verdicts of the ExtraEnergy Pedelec and E-Bike Test.
