Hannes Neupert (Executive Director EnergyBus e.V./Operating Agent IEA HEV IA Task 23 LEV Parking & Charging infrastructure) informed on influence of Battery Demand and Design for Light EV Applications by means of IEC/ISO Standards for Light EV Battery Safety, Interoperability and Public Charging Interface.
Since 2010 the EU mandated harmonization of public charging interfaces for all EVs including the Light EV section represent the successful pedelecs as well as electric two wheelers and other vehicles below the car category.
As a result the IEC started a standardization activity which the IEA Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Implementing agreement have started in 2013.
