Former Sales and Key Account Manager
ExtraEnergy, Germany/France
Born 1978 in Stuttgart, Germany
Staff Editor: Please tell us something about your career and profession Sonja Glauert: French- Swedish double-diploma: Master of Ecole de Management de Normandie, Le Havre, France + Master of Science (MSc) in International Business, Gothenburg University, Sweden. Main professional experiences in the car and IT industry (Volkswagen, Mercedes, Volvo, IBM) in Europe, but as well in SMEs.
SE: When and how did you get involved in LEVs? SG: During a practical training at a car manufacturer in 2003 I came to the conclusion that the European car industry would stagnate during the next 5-10 years. Since then this has been confirmed. 2006 I discovered a small company in Lyon/ France which was importing, selling and renting e-bikes. The last 2 years I have been working there as a responsible for import and logistics. At the same time I have built up several distribution networks (e.g. FLYER) and I did reseller management. At the Eurobike fair 2008 I discussed several LEV projects with Hannes Neupert. Shortly after I opted for a new challenge: Since November I have been responsible for sales and international key account management at ExtraEnergy Germany.
SE: What is your personal motivation to work in LEVs? SG: To develop meaningful, sustainable mobility. To participate in innovation and value creation in the transport sector in Europe. To ensure quality and further introduction of electric mobility worldwide and thereby build lasting, sustainable transport means actively. To promote harmony between man and nature beyond our generation and exert myself for a sustainable industry (LEVs).
