Standard Charging and Service Interface
„Another important thing is the standard charging and service interface, so that you can lock your bike to a device like this pole here which means that you can park your electric bicycle much more safe.

Not because of people can not steal it. Everyone can rip this off. Or you can take your Swiss knife and just cut it.

But then, when you have a non authorized disconnect, all your electrical components in your electric bicycle, scooter or whatever will disable themself and will be just electronic waste.

Useless, not possible to make them to money for the thieve or making it very difficult.

So, this means that you can not get rid of it.

This is not very new and actually started with the EU Mandate 468 in 2010.

Still, the publication is delayed by some Japanese stakeholders who would love to have no standard or to delay this process."
