Bulls E-Core Di2 FS 27,5 plus - Sport Offroad Good

A top class powerhouse with the comfort of full suspension. Lightning-fast gearshifts are solid and straightforward. “Good” for the Bulls E-Core Di2 FS 27,5 plus in the Offroad Pedelecs product group.

The Bulls E-Core Di2 FS 27,5 completed its circuits of the everyday and touring routes for the ExtraEnergy test with a stable and safe ride. And in the offroad test, test rider and six-times Trials world champion Marco Hösel rated it “a fine bike for the trails”.

There was plenty of power to accelerate the test riders from the 250W Shimano STEPS E8000 motor system, with strong assistance and plenty of torque all the way from setting off right up to fast-cadence pedalling. Even without the motor the Bulls E-Core Di2 FS 27,5 plus has a creamy-smooth and brisk ride, and on the flat it took some test riders to over 30 km/h.

The Shimano Deore XT Di2 1x11 electronic gear-shifting operates ultra-precisely and lightning fast. But the fading in and out of the motor around the assist speed limit could be improved – a flaw which is irrelevant off-road, where along with the ‘ninja’ black design it comes across as solid, straightforward and pretty much unbreakable.

The Magura Vryon dropper seatpost was often too slow to react when used on tough trails. You can acquire this bike 400 Euro cheaper if you can live without this optional upgrade.
