Scorching looks but a super-soft ride feel. This GIANT FULL-E +0 SX is a harmonious Offroad Pedelec which should offer many years of problem-free use.
With a “Hills” power assist factor of 1.64 the GIANT FULL-E +0 SX is the second most powerful Offroad Pedelec on test. Nonetheless, during the riding tests it felt as if the motor was not making its full power available, and this was reflected in the below-average measurement results for average speeds.
On the off-road test circuit, too, it felt as if you needed to put in a lot of power yourself on the steep climbs. “A lovely bike for easy trails with gentle climbs” said six-times world champion Marco Hösel after the test.
With the motor switched off the drive-train accelerates it easily with little effort, but it is then hard to keep up the speed. In the riding tests, test riders complained about the RockShox Reverb dropper seatpost, which kept on sinking down.
The looks are very tidy: nothing looks bolted on. The handlebars are well-arranged and do not look crowded. Overall, the GIANT FULL-E +0 SX should offer many years of problem-free use, just as you would expect from Giant.
