ToroRider TR-C110

A bike with potential and its own philosophy: lightweight design and the focus on constant, but not domineering, motor assistance.

Its superb riding characteristics were praised by the test riders, on both the touring and off-road test circuits. But one thing you shouldn’t expect from this product is that the motor can push you uphill almost by itself: the U-factor for “Hills” of 1.03 was the lowest among the Offroad Pedelecs tested. But because of the low weight and easy-running drivetrain, with the motor switched off it’s easy to forget that the pedelec option is fitted at all.

The still young company ToroRider is based in Marktoberdorf, just across the road from the Fendt tractor factory. This is no coincidence, because Peter Fendt, son of Hermann Fendt, one of the founders of the famous Fendt tractor factory, is no newcomer to the cycle industry. He was already well known in the 1980s for his Fendt shaft drive system with rear suspension.

Some weaknesses in the software criticised during the testing process were largely eliminated by software updates. ExtraEnergy eagerly awaits further innovations from Marktoberdorf.
