The best Sport Road Pedelec in the test also showed its strength in the Business product group. A fine machine for commuting to work, huge fun and on which you always feel completely safe.
Thanks to the rigid frame, the wide handlebars, the powerful and easily-modulated brakes, and the high-volume but easy-rolling tyres, the M1 Sterzing Commuter MCF gives its rider a feeling of pure safety in all riding situations.
With its garish colour scheme and aggressive styling, this bike did intimidate some of our test riders. But the Sterzing quickly impressed on the test rides with its ride performance, and it managed to win over all of our test riders, without exception. This is despite some diverging opinions on the throaty noise from the TQ mid motor: in the end it was judged as acceptable, with the strong performance of the motor matching the noise level.
Some of the functions are not completely self-explanatory, and require instruction. Among these is switching the bike on, via the main switch on the battery.
Despite some initial trepidation, in the end test rider Barbara Gröbli chose this bike as her favourite of all the bikes on test.
