A cross-disciplinary pleasure: the M1 Spitzing PLUS is just as good as a sport road pedelec as a business pedelec.
In its highest power assistance mode the M1 boosts you to a new dimension: it’s the pure thrill of speed.
But the good handling invites you to enjoy relaxed cruising as much as to burn rubber. “A pleasure however you use it” was the test-riders’ verdict. The 850W power of the TQ-Systems mid motor responds even to the slightest force on the pedals, and assists on ‘tour’ riding with an outsized U-factor of 3.18. The average for sport road pedelecs is just 1.6, and for business pedelecs 1.75.
Ride quality without the motor for this 27.9 kg machine was “against all expectations, very good”. In the overall evaluation the M1 Spitzing PLUS received a mark of 2.9 here.
The TQ-Systems mid motor is audible only at full load, and at up to medium speeds. At lower loads or at higher speeds, the sound of the motor is no longer audible over tyre and/or wind noise.
The Lumotec 70 Lux front light provides good night vision, as does the rear light, with ID plate illumination. It is fitted closely below the saddle: so you’ll need to ensure you don’t wear a coat at night which might hide the rear light.
