Riese & Müller Delite touring HS

The master of range, and it doesn’t just swallow up the miles, it also irons out any bumps along the way. A top class pedelec 45 for a grand tour, and also for your daily commute to work.

This rugged design with two batteries, fairings around the head tube and a distinctive rear carrier design gives the Delite Touring HS something of a “Land Rover” appeal – all that’s missing is a spade, attached to the chassis with leather straps. The bike wants to say “I’m ready to go, get on board.” The test riders did just that, and described the travel experience as follows: “With the motor, plush and comfy, but still powerful, pleasant riding position, a relaxed ride, very well-tuned responsiveness.” Without the motor it’s the same – it’s just that you realise you can feel the 30 kg weight. Noise level: especially at higher pedalling cadences the Bosch motor system is distinctly audible, but you can hardly hear it at a more relaxed cruising pace. The operating controls are intuitive to learn, although they’re barely operable wearing gloves. So it’s time to get on and go for a ride: in highest assistance mode, a power assist factor of 1.96 was measured on the “Tour” route, and a range of 89.5 km!
