trioBike cargo E - Commercial cargo 120kg+ Good

A cool, styled frame with massive tubing and huge capacity – the trioBike can carry more than just one child!

On your marks, set, go! You sit in a sporty position on the trioBike, and it inspires brisk riding. The silent BionX Motor delivers masses of push and enjoyment for the ride. The “Cargo E” achieved top marks on the touring sections for power assist factor and speed. Appropriately for speedy riding, the child is well strapped in on a floor seat, which produces a lower centre of gravity than would a bench seat. But the “cargo E” is also suitable for transporting heavy goods – it is one of the three bikes on test which are rated for over 120 kg payload, and in this category it won a Good. Chapeau! A matching, lockable box with 200 litre volume is also available. It’s particularly good that nothing rattles on the trioBike, and that the drive system is completely silent. The solid appearance is only marred by the somewhat jury-rigged battery pack attachment – on the test bike it wobbled in its mount. The trioBike missed out on an award in the family rankings because the range is distinctly low compared to the other test bikes – some of which were equipped with double batteries. But this could be worked around for many applications!
