Raleigh Ashford S11 - Easy Good

A timeless aluminium steed with frame-integrated battery pack and a frame lock, for safe and confortable riding to work, but it makes you apply yourself to the pedals if you want to go especially fast.

The designers of the Raleigh Ashford S11 have made an exemplary set of detail design decisions, which appear so logical and self-evident – yet here they are implemented for the first time in this form. One lovely detail, for example, is the seatpost clamp which operates via an Allen bolt located vertically. This, and the clamp, are then completely covered by a rubber cap. But with so much different from what is usual, in the ergonomics test users often first had to work out how to do things, and they had to throw old know-how out of the window. The Raleigh Ashford S11 is a safe candidate for commuter journeys where you’ve no ambition to be the fastest: when it comes to the power assist factor there is real potential for improvement, especially on the City route, where the value of 0.78 was significantly below expectations. On the Tour and Hills sections, however, the values were satisfactory. Overall, the Raleigh Ashford S11 is a “Good” Easy Pedelec for everyday and touring use.
