A2B Entz Deluxe Test 2015/16

Summary: A flame red runabout with fully automatic gears. It’s a refreshing splash of colour among the bikes on test, especially with its flowing frame design and the ‘floating’ carrier-mounted battery.

This A2B represents a special type of pedelec. With its 24 inch wheels it is rather too large to be a compact pedelec, but nonetheless it’s still remarkably short and hence agile. And thanks to this reduced wheel size, the Entz is adjustable to fit a wide range of rider sizes, and the height-adjustable stem, operated by a quick release, plays to this strength. The frame, rated to carry up to 160 kg, is extremely stable and despite the low step-through, it keeps the Entz tracking as if on rails. The motor with its belt drive from the “CONTI® eBIKE SYSTEM” is elegantly built in. It delivers well-balanced assistance on all sections of the test circuit, and also achieves solid figures for range. A really special highlight on this A2B is the NuVinci Harmony fully-automatic transmission. Once you have set your preferred cadence, the resistance at the pedals is set automatically wherever you ride. With its wide tyres and suspension fork, this stylish pedelec is also suitable for the odd longer excursion. The Entz was awarded a “Good” in the lifestyle pedelec category.
