Test procedure 2009/10

The multi-stage test procedure, which has proved itself in the Spring 2009 Test, was followed again in the Autumn 2009/10 Test. The stages consisted of an ergonomic test (conducted in Stuttgart), test rides with high-quality measuring technology attached to the bikes (in Tanna) and laboratory tests (to be conducted in Schweinfurt and Chemnitz).

Ergonomic test in Stuttgart
Over 100 volunteers tested the suitability of the test bikes for everyday use

Measured test rides in Tanna

Test rides with measuring technology fitted to determine the riding values, on a test track consisting of a tour section, a hill section and a city section

Revolutionary: The measuring technology
Sensors and GPS receivers fitted to the bikes

NEW: The test track was shortened from 18 km to 14.5 km for the Autumn 2009/10 Test, while the extra loop (still shown in the document for download) delivered no useful new insights and information.

The results of these tests will flow into the ExtraEnergy evaluation for the first time
