ExtraEnergy introduced a number of new facets to its pedelec and e-bike test in the Autumn 2009 Test. For instance, for the first time, specialist riders tested the tour bikes. Also for the first time, values were collected separately for city sections, in addition to the performance values for mountain and tour sections. Thirty-three people were involved in the ExtraEnergy Autumn 2009/10 Test, including the volunteer test riders, who stayed in their saddles through snow and rain and received certificates afterwards addressed to "the toughest test riders of all times".
