No more hauling that suitcase around anymore! In the future travelers can sit comfortably and drive their suitcase. Taiwan design students introduced designs for E-Suitases and E-Baby Carriages in Taipei.
A drivable suitcase, who of you travelers have never dreamed about that? Perhaps a baby carriage that Mom doesn't have to push, but that pushes itself? Two Taiwanese design students are on the way to making these dreams a reality. At the Taipei Cycle Show in April 2002 the students introduced their first models made from wood. With a clever folding mechanism on the underside of the suitcase, handlebars magically appear while the suitcase itself serves as a seat. The baby carriage is a curious combination of an E-Scooter and "passenger area". It has full suspension and even has a windshield for the kids. The electric motors will be provided by Taiwanese motor and electric bike maker Elebike.
