City bike with touring rangeRating 2008: Very goodPrice: 1,899 EUR
At 70.2km in the Sport Mode the Twist Comfort CS has an excellent range. For a city bike it is clearly more than one would need‐‐one could easily go touring. With even motor use, distances over 100km are possible. In the everyday usage it would therefore make complete sense to leave the second battery at home. In this case, one would save 2.3kg, thus decreasing the bike's overall weight to 27.9kg‐‐or buy the CS Lite with only one battery and save €400. The frame and fork are stronger on this new model. Furthermore, a very good price‐performance ratio!
Pros + Extremely long distance and also strong hill climbing support.
Cons - While riding with the motor disengaged continues to brake little.
Riding Performance Range everyday track (Mixed Track): 70.6km /43.9mi Average speed: 21.7km/h / 13.5mph Assistance factor: 0.8 Mountain range: 16.8km / 10.4mi Assistance factor uphill: 2.1 Riding performance without motor: 4*
