Ascending Slope test seperates the wheat from the chaff

Starting on a hill with up to 265 lbs. of weight and increased slope showed what these scooters have got - or what they don't. The victor: Heinzmann Electric Surfer.
 

 
In the Incline Test the scooters were tested with 110-265 lbs. to see if they can get going. For the test a specially constructed ramp was used that could be raised in 1 degree gradients. Every scooter was tested until they could not get going with the minimum of 110 lbs.

In order to reach the exact weight of 110, 165, 220 and 265 lbs., the test riders were wearing backpacks filled with weights needed.

Even when the test was not completely finished, the victor was clear already: Heinzmann Electric-Surfer with a belt drive from Taiwan UQM.

A tense test and a cause for a wager or two!
