Energie Baden-Württemberg (EnBW) officially launched its ambitious e-transport research project at the new Zentrum E-Mobilität in Stuttgart on Sunday 4 July. About 400 volunteers received e-bikes with which to ride (at no cost to them) for the next 12 months. The Stuttgart-based auto manufacturer Daimler will present a prototype e-scooter branded smart at the Paris Motor Show in October, Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche told participants in a podium discussion hosted by the German weekly newspaper Die Zeit.
