One of the submitted projects of the E-Bike Awards 2014 is  „e-mobility Rügen“. Angela Merkel visted the E-Bike Award participant on 16 May 2014.

PedelecPort sets standard
"Pedelecs and charging stations for electric bikes are in the foreground of the project", informed Rolf Hoffmann. In addition, the e-mobility GmbH Rügen states: "To ensure a quick and energy-efficient charging service, the PedelecPort will include the EnergyBus connector."

In 2015, the project "e-mobility Rügen" will start to offer the e-mobility service to tourists of Germany´s largest island Rügen.
