ELMOS is a new EU funded project promoting Pedelecs in the South Baltic area. ExtraEnergy ist associated partner and supports the project.
The ELMOS project was approved by the Steering Committee of the South Baltic Programme on 5 Oct 2011.
It promotes the invention of electric mobility in small & medium sized towns & cities of the South Baltic Area. The overall idea of the project is to develop and partly introduce electric mobility in the five participating municipalities Karlskrona, Malbork, Rostock, Trabki Wielkie and Växjö who want to become forerunners but are therefore also newcomers in the field. As a part of the project, electric mobility is planned to be integrated into the existing urban transport networks.
Target Groups The target groups of the ELMOS project are: - Small & medium sized cities
- Public transport operators
- Population
- Retailers & producers of electric mobility
ExtraEnergy supports Popularisation and acceptance of intermodal electric mobility, and the invention of these new services need to be accompanied by extensive marketing measures and tools. Thus all cities will carry out attractive Promotion campaigns, such as Pedelec road shows. ExtraEnergy welcomes these campaigns and is pleased to support the project using the organization`s mobile test track, called Test IT Show.
