(...) skill, teamwork, and endurance. There will be several stages with different tasks: Mountain time trial, agility tasks, long-distance trips, and further challenging tasks. Winner is, who meets the challenges best.

Demonstration of Electric Moblity
The organizers Emmwee Photovoltaics GmbH and RadClub Deutschland aim to show electric mobility as a real alternative. "... the aim of the Tour d` E-Bike is to demonstrate electric bicycles as real alternative in urban traffic, and also to open up an environmentally conscious way for active life style ... "says Frank Hilgenfeld, spokesman the Emmwee Photovoltaics GmbH.

The Route
Within 9 days, several teams go with Pedelecs from the North Sea to the Zugspitze. About 1,000 km have to be managed.

The starting signal will be given in Neuharlingersiel on 21 July. Directly thereafter the tour leads south towards Cloppenburg, Bielefeld, Kassel, Fulda, Würzburg, Nuremberg, Ingolstadt, Munich and ends at the Zugspitze, in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

The company Raleigh will sponsor the Pedelecs.
