ExtraEnergy Office and ArchiveGermany
Born 1966 in Schleiz, Germany
Staff Editor: Please tell us something about your career and profession.
Heike Zschaechner: 1985 business degree, sales administrator in the textile industry, 2002 intern at ExtraEnergy, since 2005 test rider at ExtraEnergy, since 2007 responsible for the ExtraEnergy archive and office tasks.
SE: When and how did you get involved in LEVs?
HZ: In 2002 when I worked started working with ExtraEnergy as an intern I got in touch with electric bikes. The experience of extra power added to my enthusiasm for cycling.
SE: What is your personal motivation to work in LEVs?
HZ: Electric power improves the riding comfort on a bike, and makes pedelecs or e-bikes an alternative to cars. This is especially true in times of expensive gasoline and climate change when more awareness is required for the environment. And I am excited about being so close to the action and further developement of this new business field.
