EnergyBus at the Taipei Cycle Show

Anton Kip (Vice President, EnergyBus e.V.) gave his verdict on the LEV Components Special Exhibition at the Taipei Cycle Show 2016: reactions have been uniformly positive, and there is huge interest in standardised charging infrastructure – worldwide.

This interview was conducted during the Taipei Cycle Show 2016 by Angela Budde (Editor, ExtraEnergy.org/EnergyBus.org).

Angela: From your point of view, what is the most important aspect of EnergyBus e.V.?

Anton: I think standardisation is hugely important, just as there is already a clear standard for smartphones. I also find it especially valuable that EnergyBus e.V., as an association, is directed by its members, and shaped by every voice within it.

Angela: As a board member of EnergyBus e.V., what made you come to the Taipei Cycle Show?

Anton: I already know many of the manufacturers as a result of my 20 year career with a leading Netherlands cycle manufacturer. Now, as the newly-elected Vice President of EnergyBus e.V., I believe it is important that I inform my established contacts about my new role. I will also be able to develop new contacts with local manufacturers, and tell them about EnergyBus. Being here is also an opportunity to intensify my contacts with the international press, and to introduce myself as contact person for EnergyBus.

Angela: EnergyBus is participating in the LEV Components Special Exhibition, on display here at the show. How is the feedback from visitors?

Anton:
Industry visitors always react positively: there is huge interest in standardised charging infrastructure – worldwide
