Hannes Neupert (Executive Director EnergyBus e.V./Operating Agent IEA HEV IA Task 23 LEV Parking & Charging infrastructure) informed on influence of Battery Demand and Design for Light EV Applications by means of IEC/ISO Standards for Light EV Battery Safety, Interoperability and Public Charging Interface.
 
Abstract
Since 2010 the EU mandated harmonization of public charging interfaces for all EVs including the Light EV section represent the successful pedelecs as well as electric two wheelers and other vehicles below the car category.
 
As a result the IEC started a standardization activity which the IEA Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Implementing agreement have started in 2013.
 
The Task 23 which is coordinating the recommendations for local governments and cities on the requirements for public tenders acquire public parking and charging infrastructure as well as shared Light EV solutions and battery swapping for Light EVs.
