ExtraEnergy has made it's reputation with product testing, exhibitions, the TEST IT promotion concept as well as races and conferences.
Since it's foundation in 1993, ExtraEnergy has provided the PR support necessary to promote both the development and dissemination of muscle-electric powered cycles.
Since 1994, we have been testing e-bikes and pedelecs and publishing the results under our own name in order to help potential customers in their search for a suitable product.
Since 1995, we have been arranging symposiums to inform people regarding this topic and to stimulate further development.
The ExtraEnergy team has also staged over 50 special exhibitions featuring e-bikes and pedelecs at both bike shows and consumer trade fairs throughout the world.
Since 1996 we have organized the European Solar Pedelec Race, which took place in Berlin in 1996 and 1997, and as part of the Dutch Cycle Vision event in Lelystad in 1998.
In 1997, the first book in the world on the subject of bicycles with auxiliary power was published. "Das Powerbike", was written by Hannes Neupert, the founder of ExtraEnergy.
Because we have realized that you need to experience an e-bike or pedelec to see how truly powerful and comfortable it is, we have designed an effective exhibition tool - the TEST IT try out track.
This is a test course for bicycles, consisting of a ramp (10:1 ratio), which clearly demonstrates the ability of the cycles to climb steep gradients effortlessly, an info stand, and approximately 25 of the latest products for the public to experience by themselves.
The objective of our TEST IT Track is to spark interest and enjoyment in the new and innovative urban mobility as well as to provide consumers with an overwiew of the range of products currently on the market.
Since 1997, we have been testing this new demonstration concept and it has proven itself to be very successful! The positive response has encouraged us to go on a European tour with our mobile TEST IT track.
