ExtraEnergy is a non-profit organization headquartered in Tanna, Germany. It's main activities are the dissemination of independent information and the promotion and testing of light electric vehicles (LEVs) around the globe.
 

 
Major ExtraEnergy activities include presentations of light electric vehicles at international trade fairs and exhibitions, as well as the organization of seminars and press conferences. ExtraEnergy is famous for its mobile TEST IT Track, where visitors to various events can test-ride and compare pedelecs, e-bikes and e-scooters of different manufacturers. The track includes a ramp with an incline, which demonstrates the advantages of an electric motor on a hill.

ExtraEnergy has been doing in-depth product and component tests since 1992. Over the years it has become a recognized authority for independent LEV tests worldwide.

The multilingual web magazine on LEVs at www.ExtraEnergy.org, edited by Susanne Bruesch, is a gold mine of information for the industry, end-users and the media.

At the headquarters in Tanna, Germany, ExtraEnergy hosts the world's largest LEV collection and a library of product information, photos and literature.

Founded by Hannes Neupert in 1993, the organization now has over fifty active members and friends. ExtraEnergy works internationally through correspondents in China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, Taiwan, and USA.

Thanks to worldwide contacts, ExtraEnergy serves as a hub, linking consumers, retailers, manufacturers, municipal councils and companies with a strong social commitment.
