Interview with Echo Qi, MAC Motor. The interview was conducted by Michael Burger for www.ExtraEnergy.org at China Cycle 2018. Michael: Tell me about your company, history, how many employees you have, your product areas, and where are you located? Echo: MAC was established in 1946, and it has a production area of 10,000 square meters in Missouri, USA. The Shanghai facility has been operating since 2001, with 30 employees. Most of them have over 10 years of manufacturing experience in the motor industry. Michael: Which components are you exhibiting at the LEV Exhibition at China Cycle? Echo: On display we have high torque geared hub motors for e-bikes end users and builders. We´re also displaying our e-scooter motor, which features a very compact but high power design. Michael: What´s special about your products? Echo: With our unique technology, MAC motors are stronger and much more powerful than other similar products in the market. MAC motors always offer real excitement for the rider, especially when they take an electric bike up steep climbs or on a hilly road. Other weaker motors can fail quickly in such hard use, but the MAC motor won't, since it is designed for high torque. It is a top level motor for the electric bike industry. Michael: Why did you choose the ExtraEnergy Exhibition to represent your products? Echo: ExtraEnergy is already a well-known brand in the electric bike industry. We are proud to display our products at the ExtraEnergy Exhibition. Michael: What are your plans for the future? Extend product range, new target groups? Echo: We have been in the e-bike industry for many years, and with our great products we will be delighted to assist ever more electric bike companies to develop their top level electric bikes in the future.
