250 Million Pedelecs by 2050

Worldwide sales of 250 million pedelecs by 2050. Today`s e-mobility at ISPO BIKE in Munich from 25 to 28 July 2013. Indoor test track with mega ramp, pedelec and e-bike riding pleasure whatever the weather. Direct access to the test track.

ExtraEnergy is the conceptual partner of the ISPO BIKE of Messe München International. The organization has worked on e-mobility for the last 21 years and stands for the concept and design of the show`s e-mobility segment.

250 Million Pedelecs In 2050
The new 2013 edition of Electric Bikes Worldwide Reports (EBWR) projects worldwide electric bike sales at 40,000 in 2015 and annual wordwide sales of 130 million electric bikes and e-scooters by 2025. Hannes Neupert (president ExtraEnergy e.V.) prospects 250 million pedelec sales by 2050.

In Germany and France, electric bike sales increased by 15% in 2012. In the Austrian county Vorarlberg, already 35% of car trips have shifted to pedelecs.

The trend is unstoppable. Pedelecs continue their triumphant success.

ISPO BIKE Electrified
Bicycle retailers report: „ Today, five of ten bikes sold are equipped with an electric motor.“ Accordingly, trade visitors’ top objectives include the E-Mobility hall at ISPO BIKE.

Hannes Neupert (president ExtraEnergy e.V.): “The electro mobility orientation is the right decision, as demonstrated last year. The topic really has come into its own.”

E-Mobility Hall

In the E-Mobility Hall, everything revolves around the test-ride. The round test track runs through the E-Mobility Hall past the exhibitions. On a 50 m long slope one can discover the power of the bikes. Outdoor test track included, the electric bikes can be thoroughly tested on a whole round track of altogether 1.35 km length.

Through the CHECK IN booths, visitors gain direct access to the test track.

Use the argument with the greatest persuasive power – the argument of test-riding pedelecs and e-bikes.
