The annual LEV Conference is one of the biggest get-togethers of the light electric vehicle (LEV) industry in the world. It rotates between Taiwan and Germany - one year in Taiwan and the next in Germany. This year the LEV Conference will take place in Cologne, Germany, but it will be complemented by one important event in Taiwan and a second in Germany. Registrations are now accepted.
The LEV Symposium 2010 (for the Chinese-speaking market) will take place on 18 March as part of the Taipei Cycle Show. The LEV Workshop will take place in Aschaffenburg on 15 April. Here the spoken language will be German and the central themes will be standardization and battery technology. The LEV Workshop is organized by ExtraEnergy, BMZ and the Batteryuniversity.eu to follow directly on the latter's 3rd Development Forum.
Interested people can register for both (LEV Workshop and Development Forum), or only for the LEV Workshop. Those who want to attend both events, will have to block out 3 days in their diaries.
LEV Symposium in Taipei on 18 March In Taiwan's capital city Taipei the LEV Symposium will put issues, such as international market conditions (especially in Europe), regulation and standardization, under the magnifying glass. Special attention will be given to e-scooters, which have been booming in Taiwan ever since the government introduced a support program for 160,000 e-scooters. Participants will have the benefit of simultaneous translations from Mandarin into English at this event. Mandarin will be the main spoken language.
LEV Workshop in Aschaffenburg on 15 April At the LEV Workshop in Aschaffenburg experts will talk about issues in their fields of expertise and discuss some with participants. There will be extensive reporting and consulting on current market conditions, safety and the new battery legislation. The Prüf- und Zertifizierungs GmbH SLG will kick the proceedings off, with an overview. The topic: LEV safety today.
EnergyBus e.V., the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sonnenenergie, the university of Pforzheim and CIA will report on the chances and models of standardization in the LEV sector. More contributions will be made by ZVEI and li-Tec, which put the new battery legislation under the magnifying glass. Finally, speakers from BATSO, TÜV Rheinland and IB-REC will highlight the demands and suggest solutions.
LEV Conference in Cologne on 4 and 5 October The highpoint on the LEV industry's annual calendar, is the international LEV Conference, which will this year be held on the two days before INTERMOT Cologne. The LEV Conference will take place on 4 and 5 October, while INTERMOT will run from 6 to 10 October. To accommodate international speakers and participants, the LEV Conference will take place in English.
