EXAX Inc. has been established in 1996 by Dr. Kazunori Ozawa. The founder and President was Lithium battery Division Manager at Sony before and developed the first commercialized Lithium batteries. ENAX started as and R&D company and has now moved to mass production. The business scope of the Tokyo-based company is development, production and sales of Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery packs and applied products. Electrode production and assembly of Lithium-Polymer batteries are in China.
In late 2005, ENAX set up a Europe Representation in Germany with Jan-Steffen Lang in charge of sales and marketing.

At the Seminar in Karlstein Mr. Lang presented Lithium-Ion batteries based on laminated sheet technology as a special strength of ENAX. As the Battery Safety Tests of ExtraEnergy showed, ENAX batteries belong to the safest Lithium batteries tested so far.
