Summary: The Traveller E success story continues: following 2013 and 2014, this year it’s taken yet another test win in the city comfort group, and as an easy pedelec the Traveller E is also “Very Good”.
With its elegant ‘trapez’ frame and its well-balanced handling, the Traveller E rode right into the hearts of our test riders: “a great-looking touring bike” and “pure riding pleasure” they wrote in the evaluation forms. That’s understandable, because this bike delivered good power assist figures in all riding situations, while the power assistance ramps in harmoniously and then smoothly cuts out at 26 km/h. The bike also rides very well even without the motor. It is relatively lightweight, and the range is above average. All important functions are within easy reach. The robust but slender carrier rack, and the rear stand, are plus-points both for everyday use and for touring. One minus point though: the pressed metal mudguards may be stylish, but in heavy rain they don’t protect completely. But with its snappy Shimano SLX derailleur transmission and hydraulic brakes, the Traveller delivers reliable gear shifting and control as you ride.
