The next BATSO (Battery Safety Organization) e.V. meeting will take place on 17 October 2013 in Tegernsee, Germany. In conjunction with the IEC/ISO TC69/JPT61851-3 LEV work group meeting.
 

 
Since the last member meeting in August 2012, many things have happened concerning the general reception of battery safety and especially the safety of lithium batteries.

Unfortunately most events are not helpful to give consumers the confidence that batteries are safe.

Standardization made some good progress even today there is a competing standardization process where BATSO is involved in. ISO and Cenelec are competing here which could cause when not resolved smoothly a big delay in the harmonization of the BATSO 01 private standard.

General Meeting BATSO e.V. 2013
The General Meeting will be divided into two parts:

A) The informal part. All guests of the ISO/IEC meeting as well as anyone else is warmly welcome to participate.

B) The formal part which is reserved for BATSO members

A) 5:15 -6:15 pm
Part of the agenda of the informal part is information on current developments concerning transport of hazardous goods. BATSO e.V. will inform about the organization´s aim to make this easier for all those involved.

The Berlin-based international BATSO Association welcomes new members from all areas of battery application.

There is the opportunity to submit the membership application at this evening and then to participate in the formal part of the general meeting from 18:15 p.m. The meeting will be held in English language.
