Taipei Cycle d&i awards have become Asia’s top event for promoting design and innovation in the bicycle industry. Submit your LEV component, accessory, E-Bike or Pedelec now.
Organized by TAITRA (the Taiwan External Trade Development Council) and TBEA (the Taiwan Bicycle Exporters’ Association) and implemented by iF DESIGN Forum GmbH, all manufacturers and designers in the bicycle industry are invited to enter their products to compete for the 2014 Taipei Cycle d&i awards. Entries are accepted in the categories of Bicycles, Components + Parts, Accessories and E-Bikes + Pedelecs before December 20, 2013.
All entries go before an independent international jury of experts, evaluating specifically innovation, quality, workmanship, choice of materials, environmental sustainability, functionality, utility, safety, ergonomics and universal design. All Taipei Cycle d&i awards winners will be presented in a special publication to be distributed to the international media, as well in a special zone in 2014 TAIPEI CYCLE, at TWTC NANGANG Exhibition Hall, March 5-8, 2014, and online at TAIPEI CYCLE (www.taipeicycle.com.tw), TBEA (www.tbea.org) and iF online exhibition (www.ifdesign.de).

TAITRA will organize TAIPEI CYCLE 2014 concurrently with three other trade shows at TWTC Hall 1 & Hall 3--TaiSPO (Taiwan Int’l Sporting Goods Show), SPOMODE (Taipei Int’l Sports Textile & Accessory Expo) and DiWaS (Taiwan Int’l Diving and Water Sports Show). The 4-in-1 trade show offers the sporting goods industry the most comprehensive one-stop sourcing event in Asia, and is projected to attract more than 10,000 int’l visitors.
TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards have won praise for offering a unique competition that inspires both makers and the market. In 2013, there were 44 winners selected from 184 entries by companies and designers from around the world; four of whom received the coveted TAIPEI CYCLE Gold Award. These d&i award-winning products have been out front in setting trends in design and innovation for the bicycle industry by applying new materials and technologies.
The 2017 opening of NANGANG Exhibition Hall 2 is expected to reduce the huge pressure for show space. But until then TAIPEI CYCLE will continue to be held in March.
The next Taipei Cycle Show will take place from 5 to 8 March 2014.
