As part of the ExtraEnergy LEV special exhibition at Eurobike, which was held in Friedrichshafen from 2 - 5 September 2009, the EnergyBus organization presented the first standardized EnergyBus connectors. A charging connector as well as a plug to connect battery, motor controller, and user interface inside the vehicle “were among the most significant Eurobike news in the LEV field”, said Dr. Mo-Hua Yang, president of EnergyBus e.V. The connectors were developed by Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik GmbH & Co. KG under the project lead of Christian Eckart.
Today, EnergyBus organization has 13 members including companies and other organizations as well as 11 personal members. In the course of 2009, Panasonic Electronic Devices Europe GmbH, Sanyo Component Europe GmbH, and ODU Steckverbindungssysteme GmbH & Co.KG have joined the organization. Dr. Andreas Fuchs introduced himself in a brief lecture as the contact person on behalf of EnergyBus. On a part time basis, Dr. Fuchs partly replaces former technical EnergyBus project manager Melanie Wiederkehr.
