Registration for the EnergyBus (5th March 2012) and BATSO (6th March 2012) workshops are now possible. The member meetings will take place on 2nd and 3rd March 2012. Venue is the building of TD HiTech Energy INC in Taipei City.
 

 
From 2nd to 6 March 2012, the Taiwanese town Taipei will be the meeting point of know-how around LEV (Light Electric Vehicles).

BATSO Member Meeting and Workshop
After 8 years of preparatory work, the Battery Safety Organization (BATSO e.V.) was formally established as an association in 2011. The main office is in Berlin. Objectives of the association are: 

- Industry standard for battery safety BATSO 01 = ISO standard

- Facilitation of transport conditions for BATSO tested lithium-ion (li-ion) batteries by implementation of an exceptional rule. Thereby, BATSO tested li-ion batteries wouldn`t be classified as hazardours goods class 9 any more.

The last meeting of the technical committee took place in Shenzhen in 2010. The participants were leading international battery and LEV manufacturers and institutes, particularly involved in advanced li-ion batteries.

In 2012, the BATSO technical committee member meeting will take place on 2nd March in Taipei-City.

On the occasion of the past workshops, safety test standards, manuals on battery safety in the field of transportation, handling, and environmental acceptability were worked out.
The BATSO workshop will take place on 6 March 2012. Anyone can register for participation.

EnergyBus Member Meeting and Workshop
The EnergyBus Standard (EBS)  is a defined communication protocol with defined connectors. In 2011, after many years of development work, the protocol was published in Taipei. In March 2012, EnergyBus will publish the first connector system with its final features. Currently, there are more than 50 EnergyBus members, including many of the leading LEV component and vehicle manufacturers.

The EnergyBus workshop enables participants to get an overview of current developments around EnergyBus. It is also the chance to share ideas with developers of the LEV world.

The EnergyBus member meeting will take place on 3rd March 2012.
Anyone can participate at the EnergyBus workshop which will take place on 5th March 2012.
