The first off-road pedelec test at ExtraEnergy e.V. will start on the 19 October 2014. Manufacturers can register and deliver  their vehicles until the 18 October 2014. Six time World Champion Marco Hösel will be among the Offroad Test team.
 

 
ExtraEnergy has been testing pedelecs and e-bikes as an independent organisation since 1992. These tests have been principally conducted under real-world conditions and they include test riding, the ergonomics test and now, for the first time, an extensive off-road pedelec test.

Hannes Neupert (Chairman, ExtraEnergy e.V.) said: "The off-road pedelec product category has become highly significant in the ongoing development of the market. Because it was not possible to evaluate off-road performance on the ExtraEnergy test circuits in and around Tanna, and because ExtraEnergy is confident that this product category will become ever more important in the future, we are supporting its further development by having experienced pro riders testing and evaluating off-road performance on a demanding course in nearby Saalburg."

A World Champion tester
Among the test riders for the Offroad Pedelec Test will be Marco Hösel, six-times Trials World Champion and multiple German Champion. He said "I believe that off-road pedelecs are booming, and I am delighted to have this opportunity to participate in this first comprehensive ExtraEnergy Offroad Pedelec Test."
